Products and Services Products All leathers, (except Red Hide, White Hide and Greenhide) are vegetable tanned, using genuine crushed Black Wattle Bark, sourced locally and processed on site. Those exceptions are processed using chemical derivatives to enhance their particular characteristics. All leather is only produced and sold in sides. The approximate area of each side averages in excess of two (2) square metres or twenty (20) square feet. Description :- This finish is one of the oldest of the traditional finishes. Dry leather is hand dressed or stuffed and hung in a controlled atmosphere for several days to ensure adequate penetration. Hot plating results in a smooth even surface with a greasy feel, the grain has a satin finish that will take shine. Suitable for all harness and general saddlery

Description :- Dry
base leather has a sealing agent applied to both surfaces. The seal consists of
a synthetic wax and solvent which is applied to both surfaces by hand, hung in a
controlled heated atmosphere to aid solvent dispersal. The side is then hot
plated to give a smooth even finish. Suitable for all saddlery work where a

Description :- Dry leather has a dry crust
finish. Most suitable for saddle production or for
where a dry and/or firm leather is required or when subsequent dying or

Description :- This type of leather is
specially produced in either a dry or waxed finish to allow for extra
stretch and enhanced moulding characteristics. Ideal for saddle seat and pad moulding and

Description :- This leather is produced only
in a dry finish. Ideal for all craft and general leather

Description :- A chemically tanned leather that has a green/blue colour due to the tanning agent. Characterised by its colour and soft spongy feel, Greenhide has the ability to have stretch and strength. A durable product that is tolerant to water and requires less maintenance. Ideal for strapping for rugs, saddle

Description :- An Alum based tanned leather that is traditionally dyed red in colour. Heavily oiled to provide a softer more durable product. Used when a low stretch strong leather is required. Messy to work with as the red dye does continue to bleed out of the leather while being worked. (As it does when playing cricket.) Ideal for whips, plaiting, reins, repairs

Description :- An alum based tanned leather
that is undyed hence it remains white in colour. Heavily oiled to provide a
softer more durable product, white hide remains firmer than its close relative
Red Hide. Ideal for heavy lacing, whips, plaiting,

Description :- Available in a dry or waxed finish. Kangaroo leather is an extremely strong leather for its thickness and is used extensively for lacing and whip making but can be utilized where a strong lightweight leather is required.
